Tanaka Denki was founded in Sotokanda Icchome (formerly known as Kanda-hanabusacho) The company was established in July 1953 and started with sales, installation and maintenance operations of telephone equipment. Since then, the company has expanded its business domains in response to the needs of society. |

1956 | Installed studio related equipment for private broadcasting stations in Tokyo such as Nippon TV Network and regional commercial broadcasting stations. |

Started doing facility repair work for various broadcasting stations due to the launch of color broadcasting, while taking on equipment maintenance for
satellite stations of Nagano Broadcasting, and regional satellite stations of the five commercial broadcasting stations in Tokyo. Started sales/maintenance services of communication wireless equipment for taxi companies in the Tokyo metro area, banks and transportation companies. |
1965 | Started installation/maintenance service operations for monitoring/information/measurement in relation to expressways |
1968 | Received numerous orders for equipment installation of microwave, TV, radio broadcast, air traffic control facilities of airports from various foreign countries |
1970 | Started selling audio-visual equipment |
1973 | Added various types of system design/installation/maintenance service operations in schools, hospitals, training centers and so on to business domain |
1975 | Started selling newspaper production system equipment of newspaper publishing companies, sales/installation/maintenance service operations of these equipment Started sales/installation of VTR/broadcasting devices and other equipment for commercial use in studios of broadcasting stations |
1987 | Started selling OA related equipment, high-tech equipment associated with digitization such as satellite broadcasting/high vision system/mobile phones |
1991 | Became the authorized dealers of NTT DoCoMo and KDDI |
1998 | Kanagawa Sales Office set up in Saiwai-ku, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa |
Oct 1999 | Ryoichi Tanaka took up an appointment as representative director |
Mar 2001 | Acquired certification for ISO quality (formerly public works system division) |
2006 | Kansai Branch set up in Yodogawa-ku, Osaka |
Aug 2010 | Acquired P mark certification |
Oct 2010 | Acquired certification for ISO environment |
Jan 2013 | Expanded scope of ISO quality and gained approval for integration with environmental one |
